Nine practice problems including for the volume of cylinders and rectangular prisms. #1-6 require students to use the formulas provided to determine the volume cylinders and rectangular prisms given all variables. #7-8 require students to work backwards using the volume and other variables to find the missing height for both a cylinder and rectangular prism. #9 is an application problem requiring higher-level thinking for students to apply their understanding to a real-world scenario.
Graphic organizer to be used as in class notes/ interactive notebook material. The cross-sections of cones, spheres, cylinders, triangular prisms, rectangular/ square prisms, triangular pyramids and square pyramids are included. Students will collect notes on the vertical, horizontal and diagonal cross-section of the above-mentioned 3D shapes.
