These connect 4 phonics games align nicely with the Science of Reading. They are a favourite centre activity of my Grade 3 students during word work or phonics time. They loved the mythical creatures theme and the harder vocabulary words. Enjoy this quick holiday activity that is set up like a breakout box. There are 4 tasks to review 2 math and 2 ELA skills. Task 1 is single digit addition, task 2 is word unscramble, task 3 is rhyming and task 4 is measurement (metric). Set a 30 minute timer, print the tasks for each group and get the students to breakout. There is an introductory letter for a motivational set and a congratulations letter for the conclusion.
