Class assembly/play script linking the 80's topic to the classic Hansel and Gretel Tale. It has a comedy theme and was a great stimulus for writing alternative endings to the Hansel and Gretel story. Appropriate for year 2 to year 6. Enjoy-my kids loved this assembly and even made tie-dye t-shirts for their costumes (it covered both a science and art lesson).

Assembly script all about the 3 little pigs...with a twist ending. Great literacy link as the script is written using rhyming couplets. I taught Roald Dahl's animal poems alongside traditonal tales before this assembly. Wonderful unit!

A welcome back assembly script to introduce kids to some of the changes Covid 19 has made on school life. The assembly can be adapted to be given by the staff or a class. An assembly all the world's best snack. This class assembly looks at the cocoa bean's journey to chocolate. It introduces the idea of fair trade benefiting farmers and communities. It includes some acting and one song with a youtube link to lyrics and dance moves. Appropriate for a capable y2 class and up. Enjoy :)

This is a fun Vikings assembly from year 2 to 6. It has 2 songs with youtube links and one link to a Viking thunder clap which is very simple and my kids loved learning. It covers Viking weapons, clothing and Gods. I also put some costume suggestions at the back of the script which would definitely cover a couple of art and dt lessons too. There are so many opportunities for fun acting and miming in this script too depending on the ability of your class. Hope you enjoy it!

Class assembly/play script including song lyrics and links to songs/dance on youtube. The script has a literacy link of fairytales, IPC theme of castles and introduces the idea of inner beauty for PSHE. It is a comedy version of Sleeping Beauty, appropriate for year 2 to year 6. My friend borrowed this for her y6 leavers assembly and they loved it!

14 images and song titles. Cut and laminate each them put them into a box or bag, shake it up and allow the children to choose one to sing at the end of the day. I've done this activity with every year group upto y2 and they loved the independence of choosing the song. Also great for EAL kids to develop language skills with the rest of the class.

Adaptable assembly script of the Biblical character Esther. This script retells the story and involves a lot of acting out scenes of the story with a narrator. There are 30 parts with a range of abilities and an optional dance link and prayer at the end. I actually used this resources during anti bullying week to highlight how my pupils should stand up for one another even when it’s really difficult to do so, but a friend used it simply for an RE assembly. Esther is a great book to focus

This Julia Donaldson Assembly is appropriate for year2-year6/p3-p7. It involves a lot of dressing up as famous book characters and three songs. It was a lot of fun doing this assembly and encouraged not only my class but the whole school to love and desire to read Julia Donalson books. It also has links to these songs, lyrics, actions and a some costume suggestions. Enjoy!

A nursery/Reception assembly retelling the story of ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’ by Giles Andreae. The teacher acts as the narrator, then there are 6 other speaking parts. Every other child will wear an animal mask and perform in a short dance as a group. The assembly includes full script, links to 6 songs and actions. Assembly script based on the classic Aesop’s Fable; The Tortoise and The Hare. It focuses on encouraging kids to work hard and not to compare themselves with others. It has speaking parts for 30 children and includes some use of background music. This can be used for any class year 2 and up. It’s a fun assembly, hope you enjoy it :)

You can play this on zoom with your children, one round per day or all in one go. You could also use this a welcome back in assembly or with your class. It’s a fun, positive way to talk to the children about how our world has dealt with the current virus. It was made for 5 primary use but is definitely suitable for secondary also. Enjoy :)

KS2 focused assembly about sound. It teaches children about sound waves, the ear structure, pitch and percusion songs. It is a very informative assembly but with lots of humour, practical illustrations and one percussion song for the children to perform. There are speaking parts for 30 children varying in length and ability and links to sounds and visuals at the bottom of the assembly. Science topics should definitely be used more as assembly subjects! Enjoy!

Assembly all about the romans, involves a lot of acting and has a line for each child. My year 3 class really enjoyed this and the whole school were interested in Romans the rest of the week. Approriate for y2-y6! Enjoy :)
