Star Wars or Proverbs? Youth group or classroom game. May the 4th be with you!

This is a super fun game to be played with youth group or in a classroom. Students must decide if a quote is an actual verse from Proverbs in the bible or a quote from Star Wars. There are also a few slides asking about locations in the bible or Star Wars. I do this with elimination until I am down to 2 students. It gets very intense and exciting. May the 4th be with you and your students during this game!!

This lesson includes a 14 page slide show, a wordfinder with pictures and vocab to match, and 3 separate scaffolded writing assignment for levels 1, 2, & 3 all in one zip folder. This lesson would even work perfect with a substitute. The slideshow has Spanish translations and the directions for the writing assignment has translations in Spanish, Arabic, Persian and Ukraine. Please leave a comment with your thoughts about the lesson. Thank you so much for checking out my store!

Easter Trivia - Youth group or classroom fun facts game

I use this with my youth group before Easter. It is 48 slides full of facts about Easter. We make this an egg smash game with 1 egg being raw and the rest are hard boiled. If a student gets it wrong they have to pick an egg to smash on their forehead. It is hilarious! But you could also make this whole group where students work together to answer the questions. Either way it is super fun and can last as little or long (48 slides) as you would like. :)

This is a google slide project assignment ready to be given to students. There are 2 links for choices of creating the commercial on Flipgrid or Seesaw and 1 link for a youtube video for students to learn about rhetoric devices for persuasion. Also included is a peer evaluation form, examples, and scaffolds, supports for LD and ESL students. My students love this creative way to learn about persuasion and how to use it!

This is an icebreaker that normally happens at the beginning of the year, but this year I decided why not make it a reflection game at the end! And it involves candy, what student doesn't love candy? Each students picks 2 different colors and has to answer a different question depending on the colors chosen. You can share whole group, small group, or even partners! This is a Google slide that will be yours to edit as you wish. I also include slides that are supports of sentence stems, pictures

This entire powerpoint is full of "would you rather?" questions. This is a great way to start class. I use these about once a week for students to either write in their journal or have a conversation with their shoulder buddy. Some very lively discussions have come from these very slides.

Build a Spooky Gingerbread House with students- emphasis on order of sequence

This is a fun way to reinforce sequence words with students during the holidays. Students will read through a Google slideshow of how to build a spooky Gingerbread House, a Google Doc supply list, materials needed list for students to fill in, and a design/ sketch your house doc. I usually have my students work in group of 2 or 3 to build and design their houses, and then they create their own slideshow using sequence words with pictures to present as a group. My students love it!

Fun Weather Game Powerpoint "Do you know your snow?"

This is a fun Google Slide presentation with fun facts on snow. There are multiple choice questions all about snow. Some are silly crazy facts, and some are important unknown facts. This would make a great intro to weather unit, or a fun way to end a unit. But it will definitely get your students participating in the game.
