Emergency Hall Pass

Classroom Hall Pass Log and Passes. The sign in and out logs are for teacher and administrative documentation. For the passes, I print on paper and stamp the back or initial to keep them from duplicating. I teach high school students after all. I give each student a limited amount of passes at the beginning of each quarter. Sometimes I give additional passes as a reward.

Classroom Expectations

These are my classroom expectations that I print, laminate, and post in my classrooms. They are vital when referring to my students to the expectations I hold so that they understand what behaviors I am looking for. I make it large and clear. I print them on colored paper. I find it is cheaper to have colored paper rather than printing in color and is easier for teachers to do.

Experience

I have 9 years of teaching secondary math education. I have taught 7th and 8th grade mathematics. I currently teach ESE Mathematics in high school. Teaching style

I am patient and love finding ways for struggling learners to learn and remember math concepts. I rely heavily on organization and micro-management due to the students I work with daily. I have a more elementary style approach to classroom management because over the past few years I have found that it works better than those of most of my colleagues. I work hard to make each of my classes a class that my students want to attend and learn in (which is difficult for some students to get to want to).

My own education history

I went to to HCC for my first two years of college on a softball scholarship and then to USF for my bachelors in secondary mathematics education. When I became a high school teacher, I became ESE certified and now work with struggling learners to help them meet their educational goals and needs.

Additional biographical information

I am also the head softball coach at my school.
