I created this checklist for one of my middle school students who had severe ADHD and could not seem to remember what he needed to do in class. I laminated each page and taped them to the front and back of a folder that was used to hold completed and incomplete homework. Quick and easy way to give students help with executive functioning and give general education teachers help with SPED/504 students who need extra reminders.
Math teachers, do your students come back with unfinished homework and excuses like “I didn’t remember how to do it when I got home?” Do parents contact you and say “I didn‘t know how to help my student with the math homework?” Math is a process and remembering processes can be hard for students, especially special education students. As an inclusion teacher, I started making “process guides” with accompanying videos that could be used to help these students start to work independently on math
Need a quick project to keep your students occupied while waiting for Winter Break? Do your students need a quick review of ordering rational numbers? Do you need your hallway bulletin board to look more festive? This set of 18 ornaments feature fractions, decimals, integers and percents. Simply print for your student and have them color and cut them out. Then they arrange them from least to greatest and attach to yarn and you have an instant math-themed decoration for your classroom.
