Would You Rather? Classroom Discussion / Icebreaker Game
This is a great classroom activity for the beginning of the year, rainy days, Morning Meeting, building listening skills and classroom discussion etiquette, etc.
Pose a "Would You Rather?" question to the class and let them choose from two options. Make it a kinesthetic activity by labeling one side of the room "A" and the other side "B," and letting them go to the side of the choice they choose. Then, allow students to make an argument for their choice. Great discussions will ensue!

Experience
I have experience as a classroom teacher of grades 2 through 6.
Teaching style
I teach most content as part of a thematic unit. Students learn more when they see the connectedness of subject areas, especially when they see a purpose for what they are learning. I incorporate technology when appropriate, and as a mother of 3 active boys I want to make sure learning is high-interest and hands on when possible.
