My Table Games provide daily practice with number sense and strengthens the visual stage of learning early math skills. These games have decreased my prep time hugely! It provides daily practice and variety without additonal paperwork and correcting is done during the work time allowing for immediate feedback. I use this in connection with my Literature unit based on the book Rainbow Fish and My Elements of Art curriculum. This is a silent e long vowel word sort using crayons instead of slips of paper. Students identify the pattern and fill in the area with the corresponding color. This allows students the opportunity to really zero in on the active vowel in the silent e patterns without the added strain of comprehension. This is basically a word sort but with crayons instead of slips of paper. Students identify the ending on the word and color it according to the key. I use this in connection with Saxon Phonic as a review. I put this in a word study group or in a literacy center after each ending has been taught in isolation. It is a great activity during the active, inattentive prior to Christmas frenzy the kids go into.

Using Subtraction students will use the differences to determine the color they need to color the picture. This is a fun way to provide motivational practice for basic subtraction facts.
