About the store
Teaching for 25 years was extremely fulfilling. After 25 years I retired so that 'new blood' could come in and inspire another generation of students! I spent a good amount of time staying current in my topic - science, teaching every science at some point in time. I was able to do a zero gravity flight with a group of teachers from all over the U.S. Students loved seeing the video from that experience. I was a Teacher Liasson through courses and activities with the Space Foundation in Colorado Springs. When I was teaching technology was just beginning to take hold of the classroom, so many of the resources I created are directed towards specific textbooks that may not even be used anymore! Teaching style
Styles change over time and my teaching style changed with the times. First there was learning using textbooks, paper and pencil. When we started using computers they were a hassle more than anything, but as time passed, they became easier to use and became a real asset to the classroom. Assignments could be posted to a variety of programs for students to access. Textbooks became available online as well. As a teacher of science labs were an important part of the curriculum. Nothing can take the place of hands on labs, but online labs have been a great resource and a way to supplement learning. Over the years I was able to learn new ways to teach and hopefully I will be able to share some of what I learned.
