This is a revision and editing checklist to be used with persuasive writing that requires the student to edit his or her own paper, peer edit with a classmate, and conference with the teacher before submitting a rough draft to be approved for transfer to final draft.

Students will have an object to color and will then write a sentence or two that personifies the object.

This is a set of resources I created based on the book "Hey Little Ant!" by Phillip House. I used the book as a read aloud to kick of a persuasive writing unit. The students wrote their first piece of persuasive writing about their answer to the question "should he squish the ant or not?" using the full writing process.
