I have been teaching for 17 years in a variety of grades. I have spent most of my time teaching grade 1.2, and 5,6, as well as Special Ed. My students have usually been ESL, or have learning disabilities that can make learning challenging. My job is to help them become more confident in their own abilities, and develop an attitude that hard work matters more than talent!

Teaching style

I am always looking for ways to differentiate materials and the ways that students can respond to an assignment. I believe students work harder and learn more when they feel successful. I try to meet students where they are at and gently nudge them forward.
