I have 23 years of teaching experience. I spent my first 7 years teaching art at the k-6 level. I then spent the remaining years teaching 5th grade all subject areas. I have spent the last few years teaching 6th grade math and science. I usually spend my summers working a engineering camp to promote STEM through engineering activities and the Lego mindstorm robots.

2 - 10 Mutliplication Using Arrays with Foldable and Assessment
I have created a printed foldable to show students how multiplication works using arrays. The teacher or person leading a small group can use the foldable to ask questions while reviewing multiplication facts. This shows students how repeated addition is multiplication. It also allows a student to color in the array and work along with the teacher. A section of the student sheet is included to give a ticket out the door or a quick assessment to check for understanding. I have used this in a coup

Mutliples Formative Assessment
This sheet is easy for students to show you what they know. Students will cut out the answers then glue it to the correct question. Give it a try my students love this and it makes a great station for guided math. I would love your feedback let me know what you think!
