Use this Wordoku to practice vocabulary for hobbies in German. It includes the words Musik hören, Filme ansehen, Fusßball, Videospiele, tanzen, ins Disko gehen, Klavier, schwimmen, and lesen. It would be ideal in a unit about activities (such as Kapitel 3 in Deutsch Aktuell), or it could be used independently for students who finish their work quickly and need an extra challenge. Included in this purchase are: - A lesson plan for teaching the song. - A lyrics sheet that includes a CLOZE activity, a

Teaching style

I am an input-based world language teacher. In everything I do, I attempt to provide my students with input that is comprehensible and compelling so that all my students may be successful in their acquisition. Read more about that here. Furthermore, I aim to foster an enjoyable classroom environment where students are safely able to take the first steps to expanding their worldviews and gaining cultural competence.

Awards & shining teacher moments

It is an honor everyday to bring my students in suburban America to a greater understanding of the other cultures and languages. That responsibility is an honor and reward in itself.

My own education history

In college I majored in German and Spanish w/ K-12 Teaching Certification, and I minored in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I also have an intermediate-proficiency in French, having taken it to the 300-level in college.

Additional biographical information

My experience abroad includes a semester in Munich, Germany and a semester in Granada, Spain. Besides those major sojourns, I have visited numerous other countries and cities in Europe, particularly where my target languages are spoken.
