About the store

Experience

I've taught science for 9 years; 3 years at a local Science Museum and 6 years in public schools. At the museum my focus was basic science concepts (physical science), and I've taught multiple levels of Chemistry (1, 2, and college-prep) for high school students of all ages.

Teaching style

I believe the best way for students to learn is to get them involved. It's important to engage students in such a way that allows them to not only practice new concepts but apply the concepts to the world around them. I love using manipulative and investigations in my class and am a big advocate of science learning stations, even at the secondary level!

Awards & shining teacher moments

I'm a part of my District's Going 3D with Science Standards team, a member of the OK Science Leadership Class, and hold a State Office for the OK Science Teachers Association.

My own education history

I have a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and a Masters of Education in Educational Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision.
