A great way for students to look at MLK's "I Have a Dream Speech" and relate it to themselves and what is important to them. I did this activity with 4th graders, but feel it would translate well to other grades.

Indy 500 racing themed Area & Perimeter practice! Problems are styled after state-testing types of problems, but given a Indy 500 and racing twist! Great addition to a Force & Motion unit, or a Racing Day!

Using Hot Wheels cars, students will study the aerodynamics of race cars, focusing primarily on the idea of "downforce", which helps the cars stay on the track while moving so fast. Perfect addition to a Force & Motion unit or a Racing Day room transformation!
