These posters, which can be printed on 11x17, discuss the differences and similarities between sand, clay, humus, and loam. The addition and equal signs at the end of the document are placed in between so that the posters read "clay+sand+humus=loam"

This article discusses humus, clay, loam, and sand - and has matching questions for students to answer. I had students underline the evidence and text-code the article as they went through it.

This is a math warmup I do with my second graders. I have two seperate sheets that I've printed on two different colors and laminated, and I give each color group a number to work with for five minutes (writing with dry erase markers). For example, blue might be for my higher stduents who need a challenge, and orange might be for my students who need less of a push. Each group gets the number and completes the sheet. Students LOVE these adorable job chart labels! I print them out and glue them to posterboard, then laminate, to make a durable job chart!
