have a passion for kids! I am a 22+ years veteran math teacher and have taught math from grade 5 to developing mathematics in community college. I prefer to teach the hard to reach. I have worn many hats over the years. I have been a math specialist, senior compliance analyst (PEIMS), transition specialist, academic behavior specialist, ESL department chair, grade level team leader, subject team leader and more. Teaching style
I am a bit of an entertainer with my students. I build positive professional relationships with a classroom management style that is more Harry Wong meets Love and Logic, without the deli scene. I am currently trying flipped learning with my students and so far, so good. I believe it does take a village and I teach to the whole child/brain.
Awards & shining teacher moments
The best awards are those that the students make and give. I could care less for the others. Students didn't have a choice in those.
