About the store
Hi there, and welcome to Teaching Mathficiently! 👋🏽💜 I’m a former middle and high school math teacher with experience teaching grades 6–9, and while my path into education may have been unconventional, it led me exactly where I was meant to be. Before stepping into the classroom, I built a successful career as a finance professional. But when I transitioned into teaching, I discovered something unexpected—a true passion for helping students build confidence in math. That first year, however, was far from easy. Like many educators, I quickly learned that loving math and knowing math are only part of the equation. Lesson planning for diverse learning styles, keeping up with grading and gradebooks, managing administrative tasks, and effectively supporting 170+ students at once was both humbling and overwhelming. Although I eventually stepped away from the traditional classroom, I left with something incredibly valuable: a deeper passion for teaching and a strong desire to support both students and educators. Today, I continue that mission by tutoring students (including my own children!) and creating practical, engaging classroom resources designed to make teaching math easier, more effective, and more enjoyable. I especially love helping teachers stay organized, save time, and feel more confident in delivering meaningful instruction.
