About the store

Experience

This is my 8th year as a Special Education Teacher in Chicago. Prior to teaching I substitute taught for 2 years. I loved being able to see and work with students of all ages and in different locations. I have family members with Autism, and a 4 year old with Autism.

Teaching style

I am a very hands on teacher, and I enjoy using color and manipulatives to help engage the students.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have the honor of being a teacher. I had a shining teaching moment when some of my students increased their NWEA scores by 30 points.

My own education history

I have a Bachelor's Degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and a Masters in Education, Special Education, from the University of Phoenix.

Additional biographical information

I have been working with children with special needs for over 16 years and I truly feel that it is rewarding. I am constantly trying to create and figure out new ways to present information to my students to help them learn. For the past few years, my coworkers have been telling me to put my stuff online, so I thought I would give it a try.
