About the store
I have 15 years experience in special education, with my specialty, depth of experience, and passion found in launching and developing Adult Transition programs. Having worked with students of all ages through the years, I can truly say that my passion is working with students who are ready to take 12 years of classroom education and generalize their functional academics in a tangible forms, both in the classroom and community setting. Before taking my own classroom, I gained invaluable experience working as a paraeducator in a special day class for four years, after which I transitioned into a role as adaptive PE assistant for three years before obtaining my degree and credentials (Education Specialist: M/M, M/S). Teaching style

My style is interactive and dynamic. My students are primarily visual learners and benefit from hands-on experiences, so I try to tailor my teaching to their learning styles.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Seeing students develop greater independence skills (in vocational tasks, in self-advocacy, in mobility training, etc.) over a period of time is such an honor and makes me glad that I chose this profession. I have the honor of having incredible partners in crime: my paras, my fellow educators, my admin, and my students parents. I could not be as effective in educating my students without them!

My own education history

B.S. in Organizational Leadership - Azusa Pacific University (APU) M/M & M/S Education Specialist clear credentials - APU M.A. - Special Education (concentration in M/S) - APU
