Teaching style

My teaching style is student-centered, visual, and interactive. I believe in making science memorable through analogies, movement, storytelling, and design...so students don’t just memorize concepts, they connect with them.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was honored to receive my district’s EDGE Teacher Award for consistently innovating, engaging students, and bringing science to life in meaningful, memorable ways! Shining Teacher Moment-I develop lessons and activities that spark students’ love for science, including hands-on labs, creative projects, and festive, interactive units that combine learning with fun. I love seeing students’ excitement and curiosity in the moment—and it’s always such a joy when students from past years come back to visit, peek in on class, and say, “Remember when…” as we share new science adventures!

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree focused on Instructional Media and Technology, which allows me to blend strong, research-based pedagogy with digital tools and design that support all learners. I’m also currently completing my STEM endorsement to further expand my expertise in science education. I’m passionate about lifelong learning and continuously exploring new strategies, tools, and approaches to make science engaging, meaningful, and accessible for every student.
