This bundle includes a patterning unit (pre-algebra) and an algebra unit designed for the intermediate grades. These resources cover the Patterning and Algebra expectations for grade 7/8 math in Ontario. The units include assessments and reviews as well as answers for all of the handouts.

This intermediate level (grades 7/8) unit is broken up into two sections: integers and rational numbers. There is a review, a quiz and two unit tests. Topics covered include ordering integers and rational numbers, adding and subtracting integers and rational numbers, multiplying and dividing integers and rational numbers and order of operations with integers and rational numbers. This math unit includes instructions with minds-on ideas as well as a review and a unit test. Topics covered include divisibility strategies, prime and composite numbers, prime factors, exponents, square roots, scientific notation, the distributive property, lowest common multiple and greatest common factor, and the order of operations with exponents and square roots. Answers are included for all handouts, the review and the unit test.
