About the store
I love helping students discover their potential across all stages of their academic journey. In college classrooms, I've had the joy of watching students develop deep critical thinking skills and tackle challenging concepts with growing confidence. Working with high school students has been equally rewarding—there's nothing quite like seeing that spark in their eyes when they envision their future in higher education. Some of my most meaningful moments have come from one-on-one tutoring, where I can truly tailor my approach to each student's unique way of learning. Every student brings their own strengths and challenges to the table, and I've learned that understanding these individual stories is key to helping them succeed. Whether I'm in a college lecture hall, a high school classroom, or sitting down for a tutoring session, my goal remains the same: to create an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Experience

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on guiding students to genuine understanding rather than memorization. I create interactive learning environments and adapt my approach to each student's unique needs and interests – whether that's using sports to explain physics or cooking to demonstrate chemistry. You'll find plenty of discussion and hands-on learning in my classroom, as I believe students learn best when they can connect concepts to their real-world experiences. My goal is to spark curiosity and build confidence while challenging students to think critically about the material.

Additional biographical information

Teaching, for me, is about lighting up those 'aha!' moments when concepts truly click. Rather than having students memorize facts, I love creating an environment where they discover how ideas connect to their own lives and interests. It's amazing to see a student's eyes light up when they grasp not just the 'what' but the 'why' behind a concept. One of my greatest joys is crafting personalized learning materials that speak to each student's unique interests—whether that's explaining physics through sports, chemistry through cooking, or math through music. When a lesson resonates with a student's passions, their natural curiosity takes over and learning becomes exciting rather than routine. Over these past ten years, I've seen time and again how this personalized, understanding-focused approach transforms students from passive listeners into eager explorers. Nothing beats the moment when a student excitedly shares how they noticed a concept we discussed playing out in their daily life. I'm energized by each new opportunity to guide students on their learning adventures, helping them build not just knowledge, but genuine enthusiasm for discovery that lasts well beyond our time together.
