About the store
We are both teachers of 14 years. The items we post to our store come from our own classrooms, so we know how important high-quality lessons are to you and your students. Thank you for the opportunity to bring our lessons into your classroom.
We have experience in all grades of high school and middle school. We also have vast experiences from previous adventures in elementary school. We are both special education teachers, with certifications in High School Math, Science and English, and have worked in nearly all subject areas with a variety of students.
Since we both teach in different areas our store has a wide array of lessons. You will find many math and english lessons. Denae' has been teaching life skills, work experience, english and social studies classes. During the past few years Patrick has been focused primarily in math including; Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Physics. Therefore, we have some unique lessons that would be difficult to find elsewhere.

Converting Between Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions Scavenger Hunt
This scavenger hunt has students c onvert between mixed numbers and improper fractions. During the scavenger hunt, students start at any poster and convert the question to the other form. Students then look around the room for their answer. Once they've found the answer they solve the question on that poster. If done correctly, they will end up back at the same poster. This is a great review or practice activity for students. It is self-checking so students can get immediate feedback about

Percent of a Whole, Percent of a Number Real World Application Activity
This activity is a real world application for finding the percent of a number/whole. The "store" is throwing a sale and items are 10, 25, 50 and 75% off. Students walk around the "store" and determine original cost, percent off, new price and amount saved. This activity can be used as an assessment, practice, review or extension activity for finding the percent of a number. A lesson plan is included with store items and note sheet.
4th - 8th

Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Unlike Denominators Scavenger Hunt
This scavenger hunt has students practicing adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators. All answers are in fraction form. Students can start at whatever poster they want and work around to find the next answer. The whole activity is one giant loop, therefore, they will end up back where they started. Our scavenger hunts are a great way to get students practicing and self-checking. Students get the automatic feedback they need by either finding their answer was correct or not

Get ready to have some engaged students! Knockout is an exciting review game that is sure to excite your students. Each group has to work through questions in order to try and knock their opponents out of the game. Strategy will be involved to make sure you are the last team standing. Solving Equations Jigsaw
This activity is practice for solving basic equations. The questions involve fractions, decimals, and distributive property. Students will solve the equations and match the side to the answer found on another square. By the end the students will have a 4x4 square of matching answers. We support students to do the math by not writing out a word and having multiple questions with the same answer. This requires them to not try and spell a word and complete all the questions. Teaching style
We are both teachers who love to get our students up and moving. We do also value the necessity of direct instruction. We use all types of learning styles in our classrooms and differentiate our lessons to meet the needs of all our learners.
