About the store
We are both teachers of 14 years. The items we post to our store come from our own classrooms, so we know how important high-quality lessons are to you and your students. Thank you for the opportunity to bring our lessons into your classroom.
We have experience in all grades of high school and middle school. We also have vast experiences from previous adventures in elementary school. We are both special education teachers, with certifications in High School Math, Science and English, and have worked in nearly all subject areas with a variety of students.
Since we both teach in different areas our store has a wide array of lessons. You will find many math and english lessons. Denae' has been teaching life skills, work experience, english and social studies classes. During the past few years Patrick has been focused primarily in math including; Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Physics. Therefore, we have some unique lessons that would be difficult to find elsewhere.

This worksheet is for students to practice writing checks. Scenarios are given and the students need to write the checks appropriately.

This is a great experiment we've adapted for teaching making quality predictions or hypotheses. Students are given minimal direct instruction and practice which is followed by an experiment regarding what types of products will stop an apple from browning. Fall Leaf Experiment - Sorting Leaves
This experiment involves the collection, sorting and analysis of leaves. This experiment was originally completed in a high school daily skills science classroom. However, it could easily be used in an elementary classroom as well. In the experiment students are required to collect a variety of leaves based on size, shape and color. Translations, Reflections and Dilations Think Tank
A think tank is a questioning activity created from Bloom's taxonomy. Each questions, starting from the top, becomes more complicated and involved. The think tank we've created here is all about quadratic reflections, translations and dilations. Students are required to use their knowledge of all three to answer 8 questions of progressively challenging questions. This think tank would be great as a homework assignment, test/quiz review, independent/group classwork or even an assessment. Aft

Geometric and Arithmetic Sequence Sorting Cards
Students will have to sort the formulas and practice examples under geometric and arithmetic sequences, along with the formulas. Students will use the formulas to come up with the answers to the questions.

Teaching style
We are both teachers who love to get our students up and moving. We do also value the necessity of direct instruction. We use all types of learning styles in our classrooms and differentiate our lessons to meet the needs of all our learners.
