Musical Parking Lot is a fun way to review musical symbols and their meanings, rhythm, and note names. Using some mini toy cars, have your student park each car in the space instructed (ex. This game is based off of the popular board game "Candyland". It includes two 8.5x11 halves of the game board that need to be cut and taped together, and 3 different grade levels of playing cards (211 cards in total) with optional backs to print onto them. Grab yourself some coins or erasers to use as game pawns and enjoy!

This activity is great for students who constantly mix up similar looking notes. The teacher chooses which two notes the student needs to work on, and writes the letter names on the lemon wedges. She then gives the student "ice cubes" with the corresponding notes on them. The student has to match each note to the correct glass of lemonade. This PDF includes 6 sets of commonly mixed up notes. This is a quick way to review dynamics with your students. This printable includes: a chart showing the increase in volume with each dynamic, and circles with the dynamic symbols on them. On the chart, there are blank circles where the dynamic symbols go. Students match up the circles with the correct definition.
