Musical Parking Lot is a fun way to review musical symbols and their meanings, rhythm, and note names. Using some mini toy cars, have your student park each car in the space instructed (ex. "Park a car in the space that means down on the piano", "Park a car in the space with a note that has 2 beats", "Park a car in the space that has a rhythm like this" *play/clap rhythm*). This activity is great for students who constantly mix up similar looking notes. The teacher chooses which two notes the student needs to work on, and writes the letter names on the lemon wedges.
