This is a study guide I created to help students prepare for the ELA portion of the Florida Standards Assessment.

In the beginning of the year, we created a "Guidelines for Reader's workshop" Anchor chart that all the students signed. Then I made this copy of it to put in their reading notebooks

I found that my 3rd grade students were getting the two types of combinations problems confused. Combinations of two different items (can multiply), combinations of 2 or more of the same items (tree diagram). I created this powerpoint of both types mixed in for students to differentiate between the two. The powerpoint DOES NOT have answers. Only the problems with the method used to solve it. My point was for my students to recognize what to do to solve it, not to actually solve it.

This is a sheet I had my students put in their Reading Notebook. The sheet allows them to put synonyms for said based on the character's mood. I also added an area for synonyms for Big, Small and Very....

I created this chart to be an easy Reading strategy tracker for my 3rd grade students. I plan to keep one sheet for each student and put the date of conference/group, then put a check under each strategy observed in use by the student.

I created this Reader's Notebook rubric to assess the work my readers put into their notebooks.

This is a game board that I made for my 3rd grade students to read during their Weekly Cold Read assessments. The students move a marker as they complete each step of strategies. The kids love it!
