In the last four years I have done practicum work during college which included 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 1st grades. I also worked as a reading aide, and a substitute for quite some time. My student teaching was completed in 2nd grade, and I am currently working as a 2nd grade teacher which is my dream grade!

Silent E Practice
This PowerPoint goes through 8 silent e words to practice. Each letter shows up individually for the student to blend and then the whole word is shown for them to read the entire word. There are also audio recordings so young learners can check and make sure they are reading the word correctly. This can be used for centers when first learning silent e or extra practice for those who aren't getting it yet.

Wonders Vocabulary Interactive Worksheet (EDITABLE!)
Use this interactive sheet in a notebook or just on it's own to learn vocabulary along with Wonders. It comes with Unit 1 Week 1 Vocabulary words but you can edit it to go along with any unit or week in Wonders or really any literacy program. I have the students find the definition in their glossary and write the definition, use the word in a sentence, and then draw the word. This is also a great resource for ELL students!

I attained a B.S. at Utah Valley University and am currently working on receiving additional endorsements and someday a Masters Degree!
Additional biographical information
I have a cute husband, and we are both busy working! We enjoy traveling the world and spending time with our families. My favorite things include Diet Coke, laughing, and outdoor activities! Oh and I LOVE teaching!
