Experience

With a master's in educational literacy and a bachelor's in childhood education, I bring over 7 years of hands-on experiences working with a wide range of students. My background allows me to support students in developing foundational literacy skills and foster a love of learning at all stages of their educational journey. Currently, I’m working in kindergarten, where I apply my expertise to create an engaging and supportive environment that promotes early literacy development, builds confidence, and sets the foundation for lifelong learning.

Teaching style

My teaching style is deeply influenced by the Montessori method, which emphasizes hands-on learning and allows children to explore and discover at their own pace. I believe that every child has an innate desire to learn, and it’s my role to create an environment where that curiosity is nurtured. By offering hands-on materials and interactive activities, I encourage children to engage directly with the world around them, making learning meaningful and fun. This approach fosters independence, critical thinking, and a love of learning, as children become active participants in their educational journey. Through this child-centered style, I aim to cultivate a sense of wonder and self-motivation, helping students develop both academic skills and confidence in their ability to learn.

My own education history

Having been homeschooled my entire life, I experienced firsthand the power of individualized learning and the close-knit, personalized approach that it offers. Now, I’m eager to bring that same passion and dedication to a public school setting, where I can inspire and impact the next generation of learners. My homeschooling journey has instilled in me a deep appreciation for adaptability, creativity, and the unique learning styles of each child. I’m excited to create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive, build confidence, and feel motivated to reach their full potential.
