About the store
I taught for 3 years in 4th grade ELA, moved up to Junior High and taught 6th and 8th grade for a year, then moved into a full time 8th grade position. I love that middle school age and enjoyed finding new ways to keep them engaged, when it sometimes proved challenging. I currently live in Alabama and have taught virtually for Baltimore, Maryland for 2 years.

About the store

Experience

I taught for 3 years in 4th grade ELA, moved up to Junior High and taught 6th and 8th grade for a year, then moved into a full time 8th grade position. I love that middle school age and enjoyed finding new ways to keep them engaged, when it sometimes proved challenging. I currently live in Alabama and have taught virtually for Baltimore, Maryland for 2 years.

Teaching style

I don't like busy work or time filling work sheets. I like to teach everything within the context of a text and have students work with topics of their interests. I try to give lots of options, grace, and time!

My own education history

I attended Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas...GO BULLDOGS! I am an Army Brat, so I've lived all over the states. I was born in Louisiana and call that home.

Additional biographical information

I am a wife and Mom of two young children. I live a blessed life and am very thankful for the opportunity to share some of my resources to help fellow teachers out!
