Fact families are a great way to help children see that smaller numbers will go into bigger numbers. They also teach that addition is the opposite of subtraction and division is the opposite of multiplication.

Children use a set of dominoes to copy their numbers onto their worksheets. They then must create addition and subtraction fact families with these numbers. A great activity for those children who have already been introduced to fact families and can work independently and/or in a small group situation.

I live on the wonderful Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. I am a mother to three boys aged 26, 25 & 15 who have all had learning difficulties but what an adventure we have shared!. Our family would not be complete without our dogs, horses and guinea pigs. I love scrapbooking, family research and creating my own teaching resources.
