There are 4 fun activities to practice present perfect tense in this handout. I’ve used these activities with my students and they worked well with all levels and ages. You may also ask your students to work with web 2.0 tools with these activities.

There are 30 cards with some creative writing tasks. These cards can be used for the fast finishers as a quick filler when the lesson you planed finishes earlier than expected as a creative writing activity I have a plastic envelope that I put these cards to be used whenever needed. Sometimes I ask my students to write on word and e-mail me after I correct them and I compile them in a bundle and give them as a Creative Class Memories. I was reading some doctor jokes and got the inspiration for this short Christmas play. It is suitable for primary kids. The play sets in the classroom. You can add as many students as you want. I thought about Jingle bells as the closing song but then I though it can be another tune as well, such as I wish you a Merry Christmas or Deck the Halls or any of your choice.

When you tell your students “You three work together”, there will probably be some among the majority who will complain and tell that they don’t want to work with A or B in that group. They will sulk, they won’t contribute, isolate themselves or even worse they won’t let the other members work. However; if you do it randomly, and if you use a different technique from time to time, the complaints will be less. I’d like to share some of the methods I use to group or pair my students.

This lesson was designed as an alternative to describe your holiday. Every year when the schools start we ask our students to describe their holiday but this is very predictable. This year I used this lesson and it worked pretty well.
