About the store
I began my teaching career in a special education classroom serving students with high-functioning autism who were learning on the general education track. Those first two years shaped the way I approach instruction—teaching me how to truly differentiate, anticipate learning gaps, and design lessons that meet students where they are. I have taught in special education settings across grades K–3 and have served as a lead general education teacher in first and second grade. In both roles, I have supported students performing across a wide range of academic levels, from Kindergarten through fifth grade. This breadth of experience allows me to design resources that are flexible, practical, and effective for real classrooms with real learners.

Experience

I began my teaching career in a special education classroom serving students with high-functioning autism who were learning on the general education track. Those first two years shaped the way I approach instruction—teaching me how to truly differentiate, anticipate learning gaps, and design lessons that meet students where they are. I have taught in special education settings across grades K–3 and have served as a lead general education teacher in first and second grade. In both roles, I have supported students performing across a wide range of academic levels, from Kindergarten through fifth grade. This breadth of experience allows me to design resources that are flexible, practical, and effective for real classrooms with real learners.

Teaching style

I believe every student deserves meaningful access to grade-level content in the general education classroom—even though success may look different for each child. Students learn best when instruction is intentionally designed with their individual needs in mind and includes the accommodations necessary for them to engage confidently and independently. Differentiation is embedded into my lessons from the very beginning. I use scaffolded tasks, intentional chunking, and strong visual supports to remove barriers to learning. Depending on student needs, my resources may include sentence starters, anchor charts, graphic organizers, highlighted key information in word problems, flexible response options, and targeted small-group activities. Because teachers cannot work one-on-one with every student at all times, thoughtful planning is essential. The resources in my TpT store are the same materials I use in my own classroom—created to support students who need significant scaffolding, those working on grade level, and those ready for enrichment. Each resource is designed to help all learners access content in a way that is manageable, meaningful, and instructionally sound.

My own education history

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Georgia, graduating at the top of my class in a highly selective cohort of fewer than ten students. This small program allowed for hands-on instruction, strong mentorship, and coursework that was immediately applicable to the classroom. I am a certified teacher in the state of Georgia with dual certification in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Education at the University of West Georgia while teaching second grade. My continued education ensures that the resources I create are grounded in current best practices and aligned with the realities of today’s classrooms.
