About the store
I have taught grades 3-5 for almost 20 years. Ten of those were in a 3/4/5 multiage class that was project-based and very dependent on student leadership. I also taught second grade for 4 years. There are things I love about each level, and I'm grateful I've had the opportunity to experience them all.

Schoolmares! A back-to-school story for all.

Samantha is having schoolmares. She struggles with fears about returning to school. With help from her mom, she realizes she needs to face her fears and have confidence that new beginnings are rarely as scary as we anticipate. Filled will pages at the end for the owner to record notes about their first day of school/work. I wrote this for my students many moons ago, and it was published in 2009. I have permission to sell it here in a digital format for the use of teachers and their classrooms.

Teaching style

Strong believer in classroom community and the value of each student. I spend a lot of time on class meetings, conflict resolution and problem solving. I believe in offering students choices as much as possible, and getting their input in the creation of our classroom norms. It's all about the relationships!
