This lesson is based on the 4th grade common core standard of symmetry; however it can be adapted to any elementary grade level. Extension activities are added at the end for k through 2nd and 3rd through 6th.

This graph is a great way to help your student's monitor their math growth. It is easily adaptable to any grade level 2nd through 6th and can be used for addition and subtraction facts, multiplication and division, and more. The graph can then be used at parent teacher conferences to visually represent student growth. I found it easier to have the students mark their growth in pencil and crayon on the graph and then write their goals out in whiteboard marker as the graph was stored in a plast
