🍎 My Classroom & Life Experience
Hello! Thank you for visiting my store! I'm thrilled to share my passion for creating engaging and practical resources with you.
My journey in education officially began in 2018, and it has been an adventure filled with diverse teaching environments and amazing students!
Diverse Classroom Settings: I started my career in a project-based learning (PBL) charter school, where I cultivated a love for student-driven inquiry and hands-on activities. I then transitioned to a traditional district-based setting, giving me a balanced perspective on integrating creativity within established curriculum guidelines.
Grade Level Experience: I've had the joy of teaching both Second Grade and Fifth Grade, giving me a deep understanding of developmental needs across the elementary spectrum—from foundational literacy to upper-elementary critical thinking.
Beyond the School Day: My commitment to students goes beyond the typical school hours. I've spent many hours teaching Saturday Schools, and the early years of my career were enriched by extensive substitute teaching across various subjects and grades, broadening my instructional toolkit.
STEM & Enrichment: Before I stepped into the classroom, I worked with Bricks4Kids, a STEM business, leading after-school programs that taught children essential engineering and technology concepts using LEGO projects. This experience solidified my belief in the power of hands-on, playful learning.
Coaching & Mentoring: I also spent time as a soccer coach for middle and high school girls, which taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, teamwork, and differentiated motivation—skills I use every day in my classroom.
A Parent's Perspective: As a parent to two energetic toddlers myself, I understand the time constraints and practical needs of a busy family. I pour that real-world experience into every resource I create, ensuring they are effective, easy-to-prep, and genuinely useful for both teachers and parents!
I bring all of these experiences—the project-based mindset, the district rigor, the STEM creativity, and the parent's practical lens—into developing resources that I hope will save you time and spark joy in your students!
