This power point allows teachers to introduce action verbs. There are slides where students must do mini activities and come up to the board as well. This is "creepy" halloween themed, but you can really use it for any day.
This game is very simple but effective. You print out the different parts of sentences and cut each sentence out into a strip. The students will then match the cause to the effect. Example: It was snowing outside. School got cancelled. The student would choose these two strips, and then create a compound sentence to create one cause and effect sentence.
This is a very creative, hands-on, artistic way to have children practice drawing angles. Students will be given certain angles (example: 32 degrees) and they must draw their angles correctly. The artistic part for this is that they have to draw a picture that includes the angles asked. It is a very hands-on activity that is great to practice with drawing angles, or to use as an assessment.
This is a math station activity in which students will measure angles put into celebrity pictures. (Mylie Cyrus, One Direction, Michael Jordan, Fox-What does the fox say).
This can be used after teaching their, there, and they're. Students will use their knowledge of the word to use each homophone in a sentence and then draw a picture to go with that sentence. This is a hands on fun activity that can be used as an assessment, comprehension page, review, homework, or a review station.
This Power Point will introduce the oceans, as well as where they can be found on a map. My other continent and ocean stuff goes very well with this power point. Students will get to visually see which ocean is where, as well as important information about each.
Students will practice their map skills by answering the questions while looking at the map. They will be practicing using the compass, as well as just basic map reading skills.
This rubric focuses on many different skills needed to improve creative writing (example: Cause and Effect, Main Idea and Details, Different types of sentences, and capitalization and punctuation).
This is a simple rubric you can use with any creative writing assignment. (Native Americans were used for my example, but you can edit it as you please). Enjoy!
This is a way for students to gather their information for a research project, or for them to work on gathering information for a mini project. There are fill in the blanks for students to fill in about the animal they are researching.

With this workpage students will practice creating proper nouns for each subject/object. They will then write sentences and underline the proper nouns being used.
