For this FREE activity: Provide a copy of this shopping packet as well as a Scholastic book magazine to each student. (I usually get them free via mail at my campus. Sometimes the library might have some extras to spare!) Students will be given a budget to go “shopping”. They will need to use the retail price of the item, unless there is none, in which case they will just use the sale price listed. All prices should written as decimals (retail price or sale price if the other is not provided).
