I’ve been an educator for several years, with experience in both traditional and project-based learning (PBL) classroom settings. My background includes teaching all subjects in a self-contained classroom as well as working in a departmentalized structure at the elementary level. I have to say, I’m a strong advocate for departmentalization in 5th grade—it allows for deeper focus, stronger content delivery, and more meaningful connections with students in specific subject areas.

Inquiry-based learning is where the magic happens! It fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and student ownership—but don’t be mistaken, it’s paired with high expectations and rigorous, in-depth lessons. I bring strong classroom management skills to create a focused, respectful learning environment where inquiry can thrive. With experience in both public and charter schools, I’ve had the opportunity to grow through extensive professional development and adapt to a variety of educational settings and student needs.
