About the store
I have taught in both public and private school for 7 years now. I have taught grades 2-8th specializing in language arts, California history and 4-5th grade Science. I have taught both in a self-contained class, multi-grade level classrooms and single subjects rotating grades. I have my BA in Liberal Studies, a multiple subject credential and am working on a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.

Textbook Scavenger Hunt Social Studies
This scavenger hunt is designed to be used with a social studies text for grades 3-6. The book I use is Houghton Mifflin Social Science for both 4th and 5th grade. It can however be used with other texts as well. Students can work individually or in groups to explore their text book.

This is a test covering information on the skeletal system. It can be used as a quiz or test.

Reading Log
This is a weekly reading log for students to keep track of reading. It requires writing the title, author, and page numbers read for Monday through Thursday. It also has a box for parent signature and a short summary space at the bottom. This is a great simple format that can be used all year or sporadically.

Additon Properties Flip Chart
This is a flip chart to be used in an interactive notebook. It gives flaps to fill in the definitions for the properties of addition. Students can then glue into their interactive notebook and use as a study guide.

Gold Rush Tree Map Graphic Organizer
This is a tree map based on the Ca. Gold Rush. Students will fill in the spaces provided with important information pertaining to the Gold Rush. It includes ideas such as important people including the entrepeneurs that succeeded in selling supplies to miners, important places etc..

James Forten Test for Houghton Mifflin 5th Grade Reading
This is a teacher created test that goes with the story "James Forten" in the Houghton Mifflin 5th grade reading book. It includes comprehension questions and story vocabulary. There is no answer key, as the questions will illicit various responses from the students.

Minerals Lab activity
This is a scientific method based template to be used with a mineral identification lab activity. It says this is to be used with pg. 86 but does not need a book necessarily.

Additional biographical information
I have taught a little of everything! I am currently teaching in a private school in Southern California. This year I have a 5th and 6th combo class and a period of 7th and 8th grade Social Studies. Some of the highlights of my years spent here are traveling to Catalina (CIMI), Astrocamp, Washington D.C., New York and Boston with my students. Due to the variety of grades and subject I teach, I am constantly creating activities to supplement the curriculum which I teach from.
