About the store

Experience

I am a licensed K-6 teacher in the state of Colorado. I teach 5th grade in a parochial school. I am a mother of seven with 12 years of experience in home education.

Teaching style

I believe a child who reads well can learn anything. I am a fan of literature-based instruction with content that is integrated across subject areas. I promote hands-on, project-based instruction to enrich learning and increase accessibility. Simply put, children remember things they touch.

My own education history

I hold an Associate's degree in Computer Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media and Web Technology, with a minor in Human Resource Management, from the University of Maryland Global Campus where I graduated with Sum Cum Laude honors. Additionally, I hold a Master of Education in Teacher Leadership from Western Colorado University, and graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
