About the store

Experience

I am currently in my 9th year of teaching! I have taught many Social Studies courses at varying levels (from special education through Pre-AP).

Teaching style

I love a mix of teaching strategies to expose students to different styles of learning. I do tend to include a lot of document-based questions and readings, as both of those strategies provide optimal learning.

My own education history

I started college in a community college and then joined the military. While in the military I had a mix of online classes (while in Korea) and in Afghanistan my University sent a professor to teach, so I was able to take some in-person classes there. I finished my BA after my enlistment was done at UTPB where I graduated with a History degree (and a 3.97 GPA). I am certified to teach in Florida where I teach full time at a public school.

Additional biographical information

I love to be creative so my hobbies are almost all geared towards that. I also love boating with my family. I have a husband and two sons.
