Balancing One-Step Equations

I like to give my students one paper-sheet a week so they can show work and practice skills. This is one-page with basic number practice on the front and word problems on the back. I also threw in a few shapes in place of the variables. In case you haven't tried cups and blocks for algebra hands-on practice, it's a really good concrete demonstration.

Teaching style

I like to run a workshop which includes weekly math (coming soon), doodle notes, hands-on meet coach activities, and a Playbook "Sheet" where students can show their work on paper for real-life error analysis.
