Do you love seeing the growth all year long in the tiny humans you teach? Me too! That's why I created this product. Each month you can have students draw themselves and write their name. This can serve as a progress monitor for so many things, plus it is an amazing visual to see the growth by the end of the school year! I hope you love the growth you see this year! End of Year Reading Project

Feeling unsure of how to make the most of your instructional time after STAAR or any other standardized test? Get your kids engaged in a book and involved in some non-fiction research to make the last few days of school worth while! This project allows students to choose their own book, review story elements, focus on unfamiliar vocabulary, use dictionary skills, enhance main idea and supporting detail knowledge, as well as get a head start on paired passages - a 4th grade TEK. I use 4 days -

STAAR Vocabulary Lesson 1

During the year, I noticed my students struggled with some language used throughout district and state assessments. I created multiple power point lessons to use through out the year to build our vocabulary and engrain these words in their minds. Now I hear students using these words in class and in conversations with each other! The powerpoint is part of a whole lesson set I used - Guided Notes, Homework Practice, and Quiz for each set of words.

End Of Year List Activity

Quick activity for the end of the year!! Good filler activity to use in your class - especially reading! A fun way for students to reflect on the school year and a great piece of work for you to keep as a way to remember your students this year. Each part is a new list - 5 things, then 4, 3, 2, 1... 1 is my personal favorite: 1 thing you will always remember from this class. Kids can surprise you with what they put here! Includes multiple grades - just print the one you need! Each grade will p

Inference Organizer

All-In-One-Worksheet includes: blank boxes to fill in background knowledge and text evidence PLUS sentence stems to write an inference using text evidence. Can be used with any text and acts as a guide for students to answer any inference question. I suggest: reading a story with students and posing a question to students to guide them to make an inference. When starting out, I use questions such as "What does the author want us to know about...."

Teaching style

I value positive relationships and guidance above all else - however, I've quickly learned it's important to be a No-Nonsense Nurturer in the classroom! I plan lessons that are relevant, engaging, enriching, and captivating to my students. I believe in introducing them to concepts using authentic literature and expanding their vocabularies to grow our brains all year long!
