Classroom jobs are the bomb! They make your the teacher's life easier by having little helping hands and it gives the kiddos a sense of ownership over their classroom. I have the children apply each nine weeks, so they get a variety of experiences throughout the school year. Here you can purchase the application I made for my students to fill out. Please see my other products for the list of jobs and their descriptions to post on your bulletin board or convenient place in your classroom. I
This document has been a lifesaver in my reading classroom. For years, my schools have followed the Units of Study program. I created this document to help the students stay organized and accountable for their independent reading. Each day the students complete a number of STJ (stop, think and jot) notes while they are reading. This thinking is great evidence for the teacher when you meet with students for individual conferring and small group work. The rubric is included on the back panel
This is a form to make your teacher life a little easier. Hopefully this will save you some time as you meet with your students individually or in small groups. I keep a binder with a number of copies for each student, so I can easily collect my thoughts on what I want to practice with them in our next session. It is simple since you have a couple items to circle and can make quick notes. This has also come in handy when parents reach out to you with concerns, questions or in request for tips

This is a simple sign I post at my door. Each day I read it aloud so the students can self-assess their behavior. This helps us enter the hall at our best each time. With consistent implementation, the students will have it memorized and can "air check mark" each one after you ask them the "Check Yourself."
It's simple, FREE, but VERY Effective!
This is a simple questionnaire I use to guide the students through a purposeful examination of Reading Fair projects. It helps them be a little more accountable and encourages a productive learning experience. Enjoy!
