Digital Citizenship, Media Literacy, AI, and Digital Wellness resources designed for real classroom conversations. What makes Tech Healthy Families resources different? • Discussion-first lessons, not compliance worksheets • Digital wellness approach (no fear-based messaging) • Designed for advisory, homeroom, and media literacy integration Tech Healthy Families resources help students think about their digital lives, not just memorize rules. Instead of "just a worksheet and a rubric", these activities are designed to spark meaningful discussions about how technology affects relationships, wellbeing, information, and decision-making. Most lessons are designed for advisory, homeroom, media literacy units, or quick classroom conversations. Teachers can run them with minimal preparation while still encouraging thoughtful reflection and student voice. This approach reflects what research increasingly shows: students learn responsible technology habits through discussion, reflection, and real-world examples, not simply through rules or restrictions. Heather is an international educator with over 21 years of classroom experience. Her work focuses on helping schools and families navigate technology in balanced, thoughtful ways. She holds a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, is a Certified Digital Wellness Educator, and a Certified Family Coach. Teaching style

Heather spent 12 years teaching in the IB system, where inquiry, discussion, and student voice are central to learning. Her classroom materials reflect that approach. Instead of compliance-based digital citizenship lessons, these activities invite students to explore questions like: How does technology affect relationships and attention? What does responsible social media use actually look like? How can we recognize misinformation and scams? What responsibilities come with new technologies like AI? The goal is not to scare students about technology, but to help them develop the awareness, judgment, and habits needed to use it well.
