If you aren't ready for your theatre students to use power tools to build quite yet, here is a nice introduction to measuring and cutting lumber. The end result will be students making a mini 4 inch by 8 inch theatre flat. (Real life flats are traditionally 4ft by 8 ft.) Print the handout exactly or else the measurements will be slightly off.
