About the store
I try to release a couple of novel units a year. Follow me to get up-to-date information about novel units in the works. I have been in education for 23 years. I have taught students in K-8th grade and consult with teachers at the high school level. I have spent a majority of time in the 6th grade and enjoy creating materials as needed to supplement curriculum. I currently work at the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools in California assisting teachers, administrators and school districts to implement technology in ways that engage students and make instruction flow for teachers. I love what I do and thinking outside the box to engage students.

The Crossover Novel Unit
Students will use the Google Slides file to complete comprehension questions, and activities to help them understand the different types of poems in the novel. Students will analyze poems, structures, and styles to see how they enhance the story being told. They will even have opportunities to write their own poems in different styles. This set includes 5 slide decks to cover the entire novel. This resource can be used with the original novel, OR the graphic novel version.
