I've taught middle level technology and engineering for ten years. Critical thinking, design, and problem solving form the backbone of my STEM and engineering curriculum.
In this unique engineering career field research assignment, students research engineering careers as well as trade careers within a defined field of technology. This comparison alleviates the confusion that often surrounds the "tasks" that engineers perform as part of their vocation. Lesson includes a research and presentation outline, grading rubric, and note sheet for students to use while they are watching classmates presentations.
