About the store

I'd say the experience I have that is worth sharing is the one that concerns with online teaching and learning. I have spent the summer teaching more than 20 online students on my own website and existing platforms. I taught ukulele, guitar and music theory lessons. I have learnt how to create video summaries of the lessons using flipgrid and how to master the art of calendars synchronization when teaching students all over the world. Aside from that, I am a newly qualified music classroom teacher, having completed the Professional Master of Education at Trinity College in Dublin.

The waltz - Historical and musical features

This Powerpoint includes a 7 minutes long podcast episode I recorded myself + 10 question to test the students’ understanding of the podcast and therefore also their ability to listen and concentrate. The topic in question is the waltz. In the podcast, I talk about both the history and the musical characteristics of this dance. For example, I mention the Landler and the Viennese ballrooms, as well as explaining the rhythmic and melodic features of the waltz.

A PDF to help students learn musical terms in Italian. I have divided them into 3 categories, the ones relating to speed (i.e. Allegro, Lento), the ones relating to mood (i.e. triste, maestoso) and the ones relating to volume (i.e. forte, piano). Rather than just providing a translation from Italian to English, I have added visual cues. For example, to indicate slow I have added the image of a turtle. I have mastered some of them, because beyond the coolness, there is a lot of screen time spent trying to figure out how technology can enhance students' learning.
